A PDF is a page, not a program
Everything in an office document that was a mechanism rather than content has to go somewhere.
Content stays
Text, headings, tables, images and the page layout pass through unchanged — that is the point of converting.
Mechanisms do not
Tracked changes, working comments and anything that needed a click inside the office program stop being interactive. If the comments are meant to reach the recipient, accept them or move them into the body first.
Sheets and decks
A spreadsheet prints according to the print area you set; without one, a long table can fall apart across a dozen pages. A presentation becomes consecutive still pages.
Where the line sits
- Runs the page tools entirely in your browser: those files are never uploaded
This conversion runs on the server, and the result waits sixty minutes before being deleted.
